AI Photo Feature Improves Spectator Food and Drink Order Experiences
The SWIPEBY platform allows a spectator to order and pay online for food and drinks during the event without waiting in line, whether it’s at the 18th Hole Pavilion or the Owners’ Pavilion. Using their mobile device, a spectator can see a menu of available items displayed with AI-generated food photos. Once the order is placed, they will be given an approximate time of when the order will be ready. Notifications will be intermittently provided to the spectator to keep them updated about their order.
“SWIPEBY has been used the last two years as a way to bring efficiency, speed and safety to the BMW Championship spectator experience,” said Carl Turner, SWIPEBY’s CEO and founder. “AI will further enhance those efforts this year by adding photos to help a spectator make decisions.
SWIPEBY Snapshot will generate accurate food photos using AI and menu descriptions to give golf spectators a clear picture of their meal.
“We think, not only will our platform make ordering food and beverage easier for spectators at the BMW Championship, but it will demonstrate at a high-profile event how AI-driven technology in the food and beverage arena is making the customer experience better,” Turner said. “We are excited about this opportunity.”
The BMW Championship will feature the top players in the FedEx Cup and is being held August 15-20 in Olympia Fields, IL.
