Now Supports Self-Delivery, Fee Management, and Multi-store Level Management to Give Operators More Delivery Options, Greater Control Over Costs
“We continue to evolve our platform to better meet the needs of our retail operators,” said Carl Turner, SWIPEBY’s CEO and founder. “Because of COVID, many operators established their own delivery capabilities and now want the option to continue to use them to avoid the excessive cost of third-party delivery services. Operators have the option to use self-delivery when drivers are available or third-party delivery when they are not. Also, we’ve made it easier to manage service fees with a new feature added to our already intuitive user interface. Both features support our effort to better serve operators and make it easier for SWIPEBY to be implemented and used.”
Already offering no-commission delivery, now SWIPEBY is offering self-delivery capabilities that allows an operator to choose to use their own driver(s) for delivery instead of using a third-party delivery company. COVID has driven a lot of retail establishments to hire their own delivery people and now they are preferring to continue to do that instead of or in combination with a third-party delivery company. Now, this capability has been seamlessly integrated into the SWIPEBY platform making it easier to support self-delivery.
SWIPEBY has added a fee management control slider to its intuitive user interface that gives the operator a simple “slider” to help the operator determine what percentage of the fees they want to pass along to the customer. The operator simply moves the slider over to calculate what percentage they will pay for and what percentage they will charge the consumer.
“As we work more and more with retailers to create custom solutions for ordering-to-curbside pickup, we are understanding ways to improve our platform that clearly benefit operators and their customers,” Turner said. “Through implementations with our customers, we are innovating the platform and the whole sector to a new level as ordering and pickup continue to be a bigger part of retail and society as a whole.
“The new multi-store management feature allows an operator to list all of their locations so customers can easily find the one closest to them via a map or list that includes the address, phone, and online ordering link for each location,” he concluded.
